1889 - 1935
Florence Parker Bloser was born in Los Angeles, California on October 19, 1889. She studied at the Los Angeles Art School, with Arthur Hill Gilbert, Paul Lauritz, Millard Sheets, and Alfredo Ramos Martinez. Although she painted landscapes and still lifes, adobes were her favorite subjects. She was active in southern California until her death in Los Angeles on September 20, 1935. Exhibited: Athletic Club (Santa Monica), 1926; Women Painters of the West, 1930s; California Art Club, 1930-34; Painters & Sculptors of Los Angeles, 1930-35; Gardena (CA) High School, 1933; Friday Morning Club (Los Angeles), 1933.
